You need to be certain that you are following the right directions in life.

Do Not Judge...

Matthew 7: 1-6 NKJV Judge not, that you may not be judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the speck from your eye; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Do not give what is holy to dogs; nor cast pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.  The Big Idea: God has a better life for you than you have for yourself. TO JUDGE OR NOT TO JUDGE? Judge not, that you be not judged. V1  Do not “judge” hypocritically, with an attitude that tears others down in order to build yourself up. This is not a statement against all critical thinking; it’s a call to discernment. GET THE PLANK OUT. Judge yourself before you judge others Jesus is forbidding faultfinding while assuming the role of supreme judge in regard to the sins of others. “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” V6  Dogs & Pigs? 1 Cor. 11:31 “For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.”  WHAT IS CORRECT JUDGEMENT? 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”  We are to speak the truth in love. Eph. 4:15God’s truth will set you free: Ps. 119:160 The entirety of Your word is truth…  John 14:6 I am the Way, the Truth and the Life …  John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.  This is not political. It’s Spiritual & Biblical. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16 Romans 1: 18 - 32 1 Corinthians 6: 1-10  It’s All Sin: “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23Two Timely Topics Homosexuality is sin. The Biblical view of marriage is between a man and a woman. Gen. 2:24 & 27 KJV “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”  "He made them male and female … " Matthew 19:4-6  Action Step: We judge with compassion, from the perspective that we’ve all been there and done that! “But such were some of you but you were washed, you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Cor. 6:11 NKJV  ************************************************************************************************

Where are you investing? Pastor Ryan of Morning Star Fellowship-Pennsburg Campus Digs into Matthew 6:19-24 and o0ffers three illustrations and practical applications on how and what to invest in: 

EARTHLY TREASURE = temporary, wears down with time, can be taken, here today, gone tomorrow ETERNAL TREASURE = outlasts your life, held safe in heaven for eternity, a reward from God that cannot be lost or taken away!

 1 Timothy 6:17-19 (NLT) 17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

Luke 12:15-21 (NLT) 15 Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” 16 Then he told them a story: “A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. 17 He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’ 18 Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. 19 And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’ 21 “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

James 4:4 (NLT) 4 You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
