LÜV Episode 11 Anecdotes

—

You’re tuned into LÜV, right here on MSYH.FM. I am your host 1PrettyRicky and this radio show is a showcase of all things rhythm and blues.

I have been tapping back into my roots of music, and for me that stems back to gospel music. What I quickly realized is there is something about harmonies and choirs that gives me chills when done right, and it just makes me all happy inside.

The more I was digging in preparing for this episode, I knew it would come at the start of the year, and what better way to kick off 2025 then with some feel good harmonies, and giving some shine to the back-up vocalists on songs? We are heading for a little bit of everywhere with this one. From my heart to yours, enjoy the LÜV.

—

This is Episode 11 of LÜV, curated by 1PrettyRicky. I’ve mentioned it before on this show that I did not get angelic voice like my sister Lisa and Aunty Dorlisa did, but I feel if I got that gift, I couldn’t be a backup singer, because I want to be up front haha. I also feel like it takes a special professional to be a feature, or sing back up and absolutely crush it, but still not outshine the main artist. Listen to this next segment and tell me if you feel the same…or differently!

—

You may have noticed the tracklist is shorter then my typical episodes, and that’s because I might come back and revisit this style of show again for a part 2. Then again, I just finished the new Jamie Foxx special on Netflix, and it reminded me that tomorrow is not promised. So who knows? God knows. My name is 1PrettyRicky and this has been made with love, from heart to yours.
