Sermon Outline
  1. The source of Christian joy is the right relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the object of our joy.
  2. When should we rejoice? Always. Because we have a powerful confidence in God and His kindness. To rejoice in the Lord always is an attitude of contentment and hope that transcends circumstances.
  3. Why should Christians rejoice always? Because our joy is based on the promise that our God is strong enough and wise enough to make all things work together for our good. Our joy is anchored in God's work and promise.
    4. Sermon Application
    • Have you found joy in Christ?
    • What is keeping you from rejoicing in the Lord?
    • If you have not rejoiced before, begin rejoicing today.
    • The joy of the Lord in us is always the sign and symbol of our faith.
