      Uniforms matter. They indicate that the person wearing them is part of something greater than themselves, committed to a common purpose, mission, and way of living.

      1. Christians are part of a greater reality – the chosen, holy, beloved people of God.
      2. As part of his people, we put on the spiritual uniform of Christian virtue, characterized by loving relationships.

        3. Sermon Application

        Discussion Questions:

        1. What is significant about the words in verse 12 "chosen ones, holy, beloved"? How is Paul using them in a new way? Why is this important?
        2. Can a person have a healthy growing faith with little connection to a local church or group of other believers? Why or why not?
        3. Discuss a time when you had a conflict with another Christian. How did it resolve? Is the relationship stronger or weaker?
        4. Which inner virtue do you desire to see more of in your life?
        5. Do I need to feel like forgiving to authentically forgive another person? Can I forgive someone if they have not admitted they are wrong?
