We live in a time when it’s hard to know what to believe and who to trust. Various opinions on almost every matter, contradictory facts, talking heads, who do we listen to? As Christians, Jesus. One of Jesus’s favorite sayings was “truly I say to you…” He often used this phrase both to assert His own authority (compare with prophets “thus saith the Lord”) and to add emphasis to a particular truth He desired to communicate. In this series based in the Gospels, we will consider nine of Jesus’ statements that reveal important truths about the kingdom of God, the nature of sacrifice, faith, ministry, worship, His own identity, salvation, and life after death.
Don’t just take our word for it . . . take His! We would encourage you to spend time examining the following Scriptures that shaped this sermon: Hebrews 3.12-19; John 3.1-15
