  • 116 - Killian Callaghan The Road Of A Professional Mountain Biker - Part 3
Episode #116 Part 3 of a 3 Part bi-weekly show with Killian Callaghan about  becoming a professional mountain biker. On this episode we chat, Specialized, bike set up, training, motivation, future youth and 2020 racing goals.   On Part 3 we chat to Killian about getting that call from Specialized while standing at the side of a van, having a shave and being half naked. We touch on how that made him feel, after all the hard work, dedication and sacrifice to finally get the call to be part of the Specialized team and getting paid to race the EWS circuit professionally.   We get into the transaction period and the difficulties in making that move to a professional team and the extra pressures that brings.   So tune into the final part of this awesome chat with Killian about all things MTB, racing, riding, sponsorship and why he will be racing for a number of years to come. It’s a laugh a minute with Killian’s great story telling, it has certainly been an off road ride but a super enjoyable one at that.   Enjoy the show!

  • 114 - Killian Callaghan The Road Of A Professional Mountain Biker Part 2

In Part 2 we chat to Killian about how Niall Davies helped move his career in the right direction and taught him so much about bike setup, training and everything that goes with it.

We get into riding and racing for the Vitus Factory Team and paying a teacher to drive him and a friend to Morzine (I did say there was never a dull moment).

Killian tells us what it was like to win the 2017 overall EWS U21 World Championship in Whistler and what the scene is like out there. Even though Killian was a World Champion he couldn't get a ride for the 2018 season. We chat about how this effected him mentally and how he fought off depression.

We end the episode with Killian telling us why he gave up mountain biking and partied with his idols. That was until Specialized called him!
