On this episode of the Fun Size Spotlight, I highlight Chain Lightning, a Sorcery for a single Red mana which can hit any target for 3 damage and then can be copied for 2 red mana. It sees play in my Godo, Bandit Warlord cEDH deck as a removal spell.
The Lightning Builds are back as Beth (Queen of Cardboard) joins the show to build Kolvori, God of Kinship mono-Green Storm!

Live from Dreamhack Dallas 2022, I sit down with MTG streamer Jaffer to discuss his two EDH decks and how he goes about building new EDH decks. We then discuss the experience from the floor at Dreamhack Dallas 2022.

As part of going 1-1 drop at the Mystery Booster Sealed event at Dreamhack Dallas 2022, I earned some prize tix which I traded in for a booster pack of Innistrad: Crimson Vow. And so I opened the pack live on the air for everyone to hear!
Stay tuned for more content from Dreamhack!
VeggieWagon is an insanely-talented performer who does a variety of MTG song parodies as well as streaming gameplay and other projects. I got to sit down with Veggie to discuss how he started doing song parodies, talk about his biggest projects, and think about new directions to take his ongoing Ragavan cosplay! And all of this was recorded LIVE in the Creator Hub at Dreamhack Dallas 2022 where we were both invited Content Creators!

There are hundreds of creature types in MTG, but many of them don't have much (or any) dedicated means of printed support cards (i.e. "Lords", supporting enchantments, etc.) as a group. Coach JRo joins me to discuss our personal deck builds around unheralded creature types in EDH and explain how choosing a creature type with little in the way of printed support cards doesn't mean that the deck can't still be fun/flavorful to play. JRo discusses his PokeDecks that fit along this concept, and I explain the thought process behind my Siren tribal list with Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator at the helm.

"Power Levels" are often cited by EDH players trying to find a pod to play in, but such a subjective piece of criteria fails to address the complexity of an EDH game/pod. I argue that Power Levels do not exist and should not exist - instead, the Intent of a Deck (i.e. what the deck aims to do, how quickly it gets to a potential winning position, etc.) is far more important than a single number based on subjective criteria. Rule 0 conversations are critical in EDH and need to be had before every game.

Commander Legends brought the Commander draft experience into the mainstream, but many intrepid EDH players have long-maintained their own curated Commander cubes! Demented Kirby from The Commander's Tavern joins me to discuss the process of building his personal Commander cube and explains how it has changed over time.

Lightning Builds are back as BeyondThMachina (Drew) joins the show to build mono-red Stax Urabrask, the Hidden. Leaning into Urabrask's ability to tap your opponent's creatures, Drew's deck grinds out the game while also splashing large haste-enabled red creatures to win the game.
