Native New Yorker DANTE ALEKSANDER was exposed to the entertainment industry at a very young age by his father, television producer and director Gregori J. Martin. As a child actor, Aleksander landed his first role in a short film titled IT TAKES TWO and an independent B-horror film, TAKEN 4 GRANTED. He also appeared in several local television commercials and various school plays. However, it wasn't until he appeared in a supporting role in THE SOUTHSIDE, an award-winning biopic about the life and tragic death of Robert Areizaga, Jr. (currently on Amazon) that audiences had the opportunity to see Dante's true acting talents. Following his role in THE SOUTHSIDE, Aleksander guest appeared on the Emmy-nominated Pop-TV sitcom THIS JUST IN, followed by a recurring role in the multiple Emmy Award-winning digital drama series THE BAY. Aleksander also made a guest appearance in CLASS ACT, also available on Amazon Prime. Having relocated to Los Angeles, he recently landed a series regular role in a new young adult series "yA," a spin-off of THE BAY. In addition to his rising professional career, Aleksander was accepted into the University of Laverne where he plans to major in business with theatre as his minor and is excited for his upcoming journey in front of and behind the camera.
