During our 9:30 service, Haley Bethea—Pastor Hunter’s wife who is currently pursuing ordination—brought an encouraging message to our church family.

To be open to God’s mission is to have eyes that are open to His world. God’s mission begins in the ordinary field where He has already placed us but His kingdom is much bigger than our own experience. Jesus calls His followers to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth—starting where we are while continually expanding our vision.What does it look like to resist a worldly perspective shaped by fear, division, and differences and instead develop a global, kingdom-minded perspective? Through missions, generosity, relationships, and everyday faithfulness, God invites each of us to live as people who are sent. You don’t need “missionary” in your job title to live a sent life.

What if the places you spend most of your time aren’t just part of your routine—but part of your mission? In the story of Ruth, she thought she was simply going to work. As it turned out, God was already at work in the field she walked into. The same may be true for us. Your workplace. Your school. Your neighborhood. Your home. The people you see every day. What if God is already doing something there and inviting you to join Him?

What does it mean to live as an ordinary missionary? In this message, we explore the Great Commission and the invitation Jesus gives every believer to join the mission of redeeming all creation. We don’t bring God into the places we go—He is already there, already at work, and inviting us to join Him. Wherever you live, work, learn, or spend your time, God has gone before you. The question is: Where is God calling you to join Him in His mission?

In Part 2 of our “Vision Check” series, we explore how certainty, fear, and preconceived expectations can prevent us from recognizing what God is doing, even when the evidence is right in front of us. When our eyes are opened to see Jesus, we begin to see the one in front of us as Jesus does.

What we see with our physical eyes does not always tell the whole story. Biblical vision is not simply imagining a better future. It is learning to recognize God’s presence in our present circumstances. Faith does not deny the problems surrounding us; it reminds us that God is greater than anything we face.

Whatever situation may be causing you fear or uncertainty today, remember: you are not alone, abandoned, or outnumbered. May our prayer be, “Lord, open my eyes today that I may see.”

Faith was never meant to be lived alone. In the final message of our Testify series, we explore how sharing what God has done strengthens not only those who need to meet Jesus, but also fellow believers who may be struggling to hold onto faith. Through Psalm 66 and Ephesians 5, we’re reminded that our testimonies, our encouragement, and even our worship can become a lifeline for someone else. Your testimony doesn’t have to be dramatic or polished—it simply has to be true.

God often uses extraordinary signs to get our attention, but He uses transformed people to reach the world. By contrasting Moses at the burning bush with the Samaritan woman at the well, we see the power of a personal testimony.

You do not need all the answers or a perfect past to share your faith. You simply need to tell others what Jesus has done in your life. Your changed life may be the very sign that points someone else to Him.

In this sermon from Psalm 78, we explore the biblical call to remember—not simply to recall facts from the past, but to recognize God’s faithfulness and respond by joining Him in His redemptive work. We see how looking back honestly at both faithfulness and failure can shape the way we live moving forward.

As we reflect on our own lives, our families, our church, and even our nation, we are invited to remember where we’ve been so that we can join God where He’s going.
