Matthew Powers discusses his research, which focuses on the intersection and overlap between non-profit communications and journalism. It’s an area that every visual or multimedia journalist or student should think about, because at some point, you are likely to end up with a commission from a non-profit. Maybe you feel uncomfortable crossing that line, or maybe it’s a sector you really want to move into. Whatever your thoughts, It's clear that the line is becoming increasingly blurred and there are lot’s of opportunities opening up in this sector. As always we’d love to hear your views, write to us or comment on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/multimediaweek. Matthew Powers, @mj_powers, is an Assistant Professor of Communication at the University of Washington.
