Yes it's true.. the Dallas Cowboys (notably the beautiful, moustachioed legend Randy White) helped Spider-Man take down the Ringmaster.   But you gotta be asking yourself : how did this crazy scenario even come to fruition?   Zach and Mike wondered the same thing, so we brought on Spider-Man podcasting experts James B. and Eddie from the Let's Read Spiderman podcast to help us make sense of the beautiful mess of a comic.. or is it an advertisement?   And does it even matter as long as it's a good time?   

Take a deep underappreciated superhero.. layer on a morally detailed story... add some great paneling and artwork... and to top things off?   Stir in a really ridiculous villain that has a pun for a name.   Zach and Mike opine on Marvel's introduction of Turner D. Century, a "self proclaimed restorer of the old ways."   If those old ways include stupid character.. mission accomplished!

Zach and Mike kick the new year off properly, with a review of one of the most off-the-rail story lines in Marvel Comicbook History - Defenders#62 (and #63 a bit) - Defender for a Day!    Guess who the new Defenders are?   Scratch that - guess who they AREN'T, because almost every mariginal superhero under the sun (and a few notable ones) make an appearance and throw their hat in to being Defenders.   Needless to say Nighthawk is.. less than pleased...  

This week, Mike and Zach visit the swamplands of Florida and hunt down the Marvel character known as Glob.   He's a radioactive-bog monster that can surprisingly stand 5-toe to 3-toe against the Hulk, and he tries to kidnap Thunderbolt Ross' daughter Betty.   Still, he's just a rip off of Swamp-Thing.. right?    You may be surprised....
