On the afternoon of June 1, 2015, Alicia Hummel, a 29 year old preschool teacher, told her friends and family that she was going fishing off the Missouri River just outside of Vermillion, South Dakota. When she didn’t return home by 5:20pm, Alicia’s family reported her missing. Just over five hours later, they were notified that Alicia was located dead in the river - she had been the victim of a brutal murder. It’s been just over eight years since Alicia was killed, and investigators are still searching for the person responsible…
