Marks the start of a great writer's career
This book was a great surprise to me years ago when feminism was considered radical and scary by much of society. Miner used the format of mystery to tell a story about women's rights as well as revealing what is often the paradigm for the way women are treated in the university setting. Her writing style reveals the tip of the iceberg to a body of work that deeply influenced me. It's great to reread it over 30 years later and see the seeds of her writing.
