the dog days are over and the -ber months are almost here!! we're excited for cardigans, fall lattes, lots of cinnamon, and more cultural appreciation than ever before. whether you've spent your life navigating two cultures like a true ABCD or you've been flag flying and repping your roots from the very beginning, we can all agree that culture is just that girl. so on this one, cheers to a lil spice (always!!!!) and coming home to our heritage with warm, open hands 🫶🏽

music is therapy and kanye's 4th album is the epitome of grieving through creativity. & even though the destination is not what you intended, the journey is always beautiful and worth cherishing—but you have to get off that train sometime, somehow, someway. so this week's all about redirecting energy and dealing with that pesky lil heartbreak (you know, the one that you sobbed into a pint of your fave ice cream (choc fudge brownie!!) over) 🙃

it's officially been five years since march '20 and the covid era and it's absurd to consider how much has changed in all our lives since then—this week reflects particularly on friendships that have come and gone and navigating those difficult friendship breakups, especially when the grief sits with you for years. on a hopeful note though (always), it's a solid reminder that our kindred souls are forever out there waiting for us to join them. cheers to that and may those bonds never cease to exist :')
