Media vans, journalists, camera crews, lawyers and mushroom experts have all descended on the Victorian regional town of Morwell for the triple murder case that's  known as the mushroom trial. It centres on Erin Patterson, who’s accused of deliberately poisoning four relatives with death cap mushrooms served in a beef wellington dish in July 2023. Some of the world’s biggest news organisations have been covering the trial, putting the sleepy town under the global spotlight.
