Episode 004  - This Band Is Not Bad Religion

Happy Monday and welcome to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast.

This week Steve is back with showing us one of his favorite bands sharing songs from a band he loved since his days in 8th Grade!  Do you remember making mix CD’s for friends? What about mixtapes? The guys go over the nostalgia idea of doing such things. Now it is so simple with something like Spotify you can instantly share with friends and you almost lose that feeling of the hard work that goes into making the mix CD or tape.  What rules did you put in place for making a mix for friends?

Sit back and listen to the music Steve presents this week.  What do you think of the band and songs? What will Kevin think?  Will they have their first disagreement on the show? Tune in and find out!

We are back again with our third installment of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  Thank you for joining us.

Kevin is back in the driver’s seat with presenting this week’s band.  This is a very talented band that somehow made it on to Kevin’s personal favorite list even though they have elements in their music that he normally doesn’t get into.  Will Steve enjoy this band? Will he know who they are? You can bet that he knows what label they are on!

Tune in as Kevin and Steve dissect this week’s band and talk among other things that bands are doing.  How do you feel about bands being more independent? What about crowdfunded albums or monthly subscription based music?  Would you pay your favorite band money directly to put music out? Tune in this week and hear what they have to say! See you next Monday!

Welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday podcast!

Kevin set the bar pretty high with episode 1 but Steve doesn’t only surpass that bar but he brings in visual aids to support his presentation of this week’s featured band.  Does that help in a podcast? Probably not, but it will all make sense when you listen! Steve successfully uses this podcast platform to formally introduce this unique band to Kevin which in all likelihood couldn’t happen at this depth anywhere else.  There are so many pieces and variations of this band that you can’t help but be interested.

Come listen to a couple of songs, clips from other songs, and more which is all very necessary. Will Kevin know who the band is? Will he just get mad and yell about how much he hates this week's band? Come join us and find out what happens!

Welcome to the very first episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast!  Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

This is the first band to be listened to on the podcast with Kevin presenting.  The guys talk about going from being able to sit around listening to music to forming the podcast and looking forward to the exciting opportunities to hang out and listen to music.  Kevin makes a bold prediction that he will have a tough time knowing what bands Steve is going to pick due to the large amount of music he listens to. Steve admits that is probably true and exposes his dedication to the BMG Music Club by subscribing and actually paying for the subscription.

Are Genre titles getting out of hand?  With Kevin being more of a “metalhead” and Steve being into punk rock there are too many sub genres in between those two styles of music, one could get confused and lose his mind.  Where does today’s band fall? Will Steve guess who the band is? Will he like the songs? Listen in as they discuss!
