ending disappointing!
I enjoyed this book but was disappointed that the story ended so suddenly ! the story I feel had so much more to tell and I did feel cheated, hopefully the story will continue in another book.
A reminder of how music touches our hearts.
AN easy to read stoy with realtionships that are compounded by loss. The thread o music enalbes the young wman to keep hope alive and experience meaningful connections through diffiuclt times.
Sad Story
How a girl looses her father who has gambled & left her heavily in debt. She is forced to leave her beloved home & reside with estranged family with interesting results.
A very sweet story
This is a story about growing up and facing the difficulties in life such as loss of your loved ones, friendship, love for family and people around you. I really fell in love with the main character Maria, and later in the book, her uncle Ambrose. The only sad thing was that it ended quite abruptly. I didn't feel the book was over when I came to the last page, there should be at least a chapter more. I guess a good book should make you ask for more, but this one didn't answer all my questions - so I felt that the story was incomplete... but I still wouldn't want to miss this book.
I love Geraldine O'Neill's books!
I have come to love and appreciate all of Geraldine O'Neill's books, which transport me to another time and place so beautifully! Can't wait for her next book!
