For the next episode we sit down with AJA, an experimental electronic sound artist whose performances are unforgettable. Aja experiments with rhythmic noise, channeling intense and mostly improvised performances through her live hardware setup. Collaborating with designer LU LA LOOP, Aja's costumes are bright, pink, bold and unique, pretty much works of art. Active in supporting the LGBTQ+ community, AJA worked hard to put on Nottingham event 'Queer Noise Club'. I got the chance to chat to Aja about her musical identity and how this has evolved, chatting about the processes behind the costumes and live installations she performs with, along with how she has handled the lack of live events; her main musical outlet. Aja has so much more to come and it was a pleasure to sit down and talk to her! Grab yourself a cup of whatever you fancy and enjoy the episode.
