This episode's song is the only song that I’ve ever heard of, aside from Yellow’s Oh Yeah, that could pull off the phrase, “Chicka chickaaaah.” That song is
“The Sun Rising” which was released in 1989 by The beloved, being songwriters John Marsh and Steve Waddington. The song was a hit in the UK and their first top 40 hit peaking at 26 in 1989. The re-relesae in 1997 reached 31 in the UK. And if I told you it didn’t even chart outside of Europe, then you’d understand why a top 40 hit is here on Music in 5.
Following the episode are a number of remixes and a cover by The Normalites I discovered after recording this show. Go figure.
