To realize that worship music is not mentioned at all through the entire pre Egypt period of the Bible, was shocking to me. And when the first song goes blasting on the stereo, there's a lot to learn. I have a definite feeling that we've only scratched the surface with this episode.

Music was there from the beginning. A mystery interwoven into each part creation from the outset. Every step of your foot, every chirp of a bird, every rustle of leaves — they all have a tone. Let us go back to the very first mention of music in the Bible and begin our exploration.

From the very first mention of musical instruments in the Bible, to the heavenly choirs at the end of Revelation — we will head out on this long journey together. Before it is all over, we will hopefully have a wider understanding of God and his relationship to music, and feel empowered to get out and use our skills and gifts for good and for God.
