MUSIC IS OUR HERO!

Dave Cudrak is a busy guy! He balances a full-time job, part-time solo acoustic gigs as a New Jersey-based singer/songwriter, hosting his podcast "The Music Scene with Dave Cudrak", fatherhood, and still finds quality time to spend with his girlfriend. After hearing his story, it’s clear that good things truly do come to those who wait. A lifelong lover of music and playing his guitar since he was a little guy, he is now, at 52, living a life that in the past did not seem possible. He is a prime example of it’s never too late and to follow your dreams!

Vall3y Val — an artist, musician, singer, writer, and mom — is a perfect example of how it’s okay to take your time figuring out your path, and not be afraid to try multiple things along the way. She’s deeply passionate about music and everything that happens both onstage and behind the scenes. Recently unemployed, she’s choosing to pour her energy into her dreams, making as many connections as she can and seeing where the journey leads her.

I recently sat down with my long-time friend and fellow creative, Zach Carr, to hear his story. It’s powerful listening to a young artist open up about discovering who they are. Zach started with simple doodles, moved into rapping and graphic design, and now he’s fully embraced his artistry—crafting physical pieces across multiple mediums and building merchandise for his brand, What Lies Beneath.

Even with a full-time job, he still shows up at events as a vendor, consistently sharing and selling the work he loves. That kind of passion is truly inspiring.

So many artists don’t really understand the music business — and that’s exactly how people end up getting cheated.

That’s why I sat down with Kathleen Daidone from Code 3 Records. She’s a total guru when it comes to sync, publishing, copyrights, mechanicals — all the behind-the-scenes stuff most artists don’t want to deal with (but absolutely should).

In just 30 minutes, we covered a ton of valuable information. One thing’s for sure: if you’re serious about your music, you need someone like Kathleen to help you build your foundation the right way — so you get what you’re owed and never get taken advantage of.

I had the chance to sit down with Mxrtian and talk about his music journey — one that started when he was just 10 years old! The stories he shared were so relatable, they took me right back to my own early days and how it all began.

Now at 25, Mxrtian is starting to see the results of his hard work pay off. With the same energy he began with, the support of those who believe in him, and the freedom of expression that music gives him, he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.

Chuck truly inspired me in the short time we had to sit and talk. As he shared his life journey, we explored his career as an interior designer, his love life, and what it was like being a gay man through the AIDS epidemic of the ’80s and ’90s. Music has been a constant thread throughout it all — from his days as a DJ to now, when he creates high-end audio cables that deliver the best possible sound. His dedication to preserving the integrity of sound is a testament to his enduring love for music and his connection to it.

It was a pleasure sitting down with Othneil to dive into his life, his music, and his purpose. He opened up about the importance of being a father and a good man first — before anything else — and shared how his faith in God continues to guide his journey. Known as the mastermind behind G-Rock, Othneil brings passion and truth to everything he does.

Michelle and I had such a fun time talking all things bartending — from the do’s and don’ts of bar etiquette to how you should treat your bartenders. We also touched on her life as an artist, but the heart of our convo was all about shining a light on the importance of respecting the craft, culture, and people behind the bar.
