Randy Moore, a self-proclaimed "guitar legend." The show, broadcasting live from Los Gatos, California, on a "beautiful, balmy night," encourages listener interaction through phone calls and Instagram live.
Throughout the episode, the host and Randy share anecdotes, discuss their personal lives, and answer listener questions, ranging from favorite musical scales to fantasy metal bands and even their preferred "nerdy" pastimes. The show also serves as a platform for KPCR's pledge drive, with the hosts encouraging listeners to donate to the non-profit community radio station. The eclectic music selection, influenced by both the hosts and listener requests, creates a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.

Music…
“I’ve always wanted to do a live radio show,” Mike says. “I trained to do one at San Jose State in the late ’80s, but life got busy… and it’s still busy, to be honest, but I’m doing this.”
From the listener’s side, you feel that history in every track. One moment it’s rare ska 7-inches, the next it’s heartfelt indie cuts or stories from decades on the road. Mike’s enthusiasm pulls you in: “The clincher was that the radio station is only a 15-minute bike ride from my house. It’s also community radio, and I’m allowed to play the music that I want to play. Let’s do this.”
