This week, we mark the passing of Tom Verlaine; guitarist and lead vocalist of the deeply influencial 70's group - Television. We take a deep dive into their critically acclaimed album- Marquee Moon;- born out of New York’s famous CBGB club and an important link between mid 70’s punk rock and new wave sounds later that decade, this is a record every music lover needs to listen to- even if it's only to hear what an intelligent chicken sounds like being stangled!

We’re back – this time, reviewing out fav movies, TV shows and albums of 2022. We have The Dawes, Peter Gabriel, Barbara Keith and Angel Olsen to name just a few. Over on the flicks, we really rated Star Trek, Better Call Saul and Kleo among many many others that graced our screens last year. Enjoy!

Like a pressie down a chimney, our end of Season One Christmas Special has just dropped and it's not for the faint hearted either! We’re mid decade, dead smack in the middle of grunge, hip hop and R&B. You wouldn’t necessarily know it with our choices this week. We have quite an eclectic mix on both fronts- delicious! We have English Singer Songwriter Paul Weller, Kiwi Greg Johnson, Scottish Alt Rockers Del Amitri and American Rockers Faith No More. At the movies brace yourself for Bad Boys, Friday, 12 Monkeys and the Bridges of Madison County. Like we said- eclectic!

It’s 1969, a huge year as Dusty’s in Memphis, Iggy’s with his Stooges, The Golliwogs have become CCR and Led Zepplin have arrived on the scene. At the Drive Through we take a peak at The Love Bug, The Italian Job and 007 On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Enjoy

2013- packed with goodness, we have the dream pop of London Grammar, go punk with The Bronx and review classy Kiwi acts Lorde and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. On the flicks we are on rom-com alert with About Time, back to the 1920’s with The Great Gatsby, go head-to-head with Rush and Glen & David totally nerd over the 'Red Wedding' episode from 'that show'!

This week- Motown and Musicals. We take a deep dive into the wonderful world of Motown with The Jacksons, Stevie Wonder and a generous serving of Marvin Gaye. Then once ya’ll chilled and grooved out, Flip over to Side B where we review Grease, Guys & Dolls, The Sound of Music, and Phantom of the Opera. Enjoy!
