Musical Tarot Empress



In this episode of The Dark Corner, DJ Evil Dave presents a musical exploration of the Empress card of the tarot. For instance, he collects songs representing the divine feminine. That is, he includes sons about motherhood and nature. As such, he presents a number of pagan rock songs.



Additionally, Dave describes how he created the mix. For instance, he explains how he came to link from one song featuring the flute to another. Also, he suggests how drums embody Earth energy. Meanwhile, he references the more pagan aspects of gothic culture. For instance, he points out the use of Greek mythology.

DJ Evil Dave presents the playlist. That is, he lists each song and artist in the order they appear. Also, he lists each in reverse order at the end of the set. Occasionally, he mentions some detail regarding the artist, song, or album. For instance, he identifies an album made available for free on Bandcamp.

French darkwave band, Saigon Blue Rain, plays Queen Ephemeria from She Is the Dark. Fuji Kureta offers Toutes Les Femmes from the Sweets EP. Also, Dark Orange presents The Birth of Venus from The Garden of Poseidon. Additionally, Jarguna and Friends performs Earth Mother Breathing from Trapped Vol. 3.



Moreover, dAVOS plays Tender Loving Care from the album of the same name. Finally, LEDERMAN / DE MEYER present Back To Nature (Radical G remix).
