Tom Marsh is a multi-instrumentalist and producer who has played drums for the superstar artist Lana Del Rey for the past 9 years. In this conversation we talk everything from how he got started, following his passions in and outside of his playing life, playing in front of 200,000 people in Sao Paulo Brazil to playing the PINNACLE of British pop excellence, Glastonbury Festival Pyramid Stage (which is one of the funniest and most surreal stories I've heard). Mixed in with some incredible anecdotes are pieces of advice that will stand any musician in good stead. I hope you enjoy!

Jake Sommers is the current Drummer for the Country sensation Luke Combs. Jake grew up in New York, and after completing his Jazz Studies at University of the Arts, moved to Nashville to pursue his playing career there. Being from a wider musical variety Jake has incredibly high levels of reading, and a great understanding of many styles of music. He’s endorsed by Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, and ProMark Drumsticks. I caught up with Jake from Nashville, where he was in between Luke Combs gigs.

Mike Sleath is one of the most talented drummers to come out of Canada who is currently about to embark on a yearlong world tour with artist Shawn Mendes. Other notable names Mike has worked with include Cody Simpson, Francesco Yates, Conor Maynard, Jessie McCartney and more. During his time with Shawn, there is little Mike hasn’t done. Shows in the United States like The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Degenerous Show, The American Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, The Late Late show with James Corden to name but a few. In the United Kingdom his list of shows played which include Wembley Stadium, The Voice UK, The Jonathan Ross show and returns for the final gig of his European tour. In this incredibly humble and unique look into Mike’s life and career we discuss how he got where he is, his advice and aspirations and the people he’s met along the way. Mike is also endorsed by some of the biggest names in drums – Yamaha Drum Makers, Sabian Cymbals and Remo Drum heads. Sean McDaniel is currently the drummer for the new Disney show Frozen. Sean’s accolades include playing for Grammy and Tony award winning The Book of Mormon on Broadway and for American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken. On Broadway he also originated the Grammy and Tony award winning Spamalot, 9 to 5, La Cage Aux Folles, and Violet. Other shows Sean has developed include Hamilton, Newsies, and Frozen. He appears on the Frozen soundtrack plus albums by Audra McDonald, Stephanie Block, and Clay Aiken. He has been seen on The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tony awards, Celebrity Apprentice, CBS This Morning, Live At The White House, The View, and The Billboard Music Awards. He has performed with Dolly Parton, Sting, Jennifer Hudson, Idina Menzel, Jake Gyllenhall and many others. Sean plays DW Drums, Sabian Cymbals, and Vic Firth Sticks. He currently lives in New York City where he is a busy freelance and session player. I caught up with Sean after a very busy week in New York.

Seth Rausch is one of the best and busiest Drummers in Nashville. His resumé reads like a who's who of the Nashville music scene. Seth is (and has been for 6 years) Keith Urban's Drummer. He's also played extensively with Little Big Town and many others. Originally from upstate New York, Seth began playing drums at the age of three. By age nine, he was sitting in with local bands and even backing up his elementary school choir. He’s been in the Nashville music scene for 15 years. When Seth isn’t on the road, he is in the studio recording and collaborating with some of Nashville’s top writers, musicians, and producers. I caught up with Seth from his home in Nashville. We talk everything career to date and advice for future players.
