In this episode I talk to Paige who is the lone therapist for a school district. We go in depth regarding trauma and how it rewires the human brain. We focus on children and how it effects their behavior. We also talk about hormones in the brain such as cortisol, oxytocin and dopamine. We also dive into sports psychology. Paige is full of knowledge and I will certainly have her on again to to discuss other psychology and trauma concepts!

One of my real good friends and fellow educator. Fred has worked in education for 40 years and as held roles such as social studies teacher and Special Education para educator. Fred talks about his first job, life during the Trump administration, Universal healthcare and the upcoming election. I will definitely have Fred on again as we have much more to talk about!

In this episode I examine the consequences on people with disabilities, elderly people, low income people and Social Services providers if you cut $1.6 trillion for Medicaid over the next ten years like the Trump administration has proposed every year over the last four years. I will reiterate here, I am for ways to fix the system so that people don’t take advantage, but hitting the system would have detrimental effects on vulnerable people and highly trained professionals!

This first episode is just myself. I wanted to do a quick segment explaining Democratic socialism and what it is. There are so many misconceptions on the facts about this. It’s not Venezuela socialism or communism. It is about certain sectors of our society, specifically healthcare, education, social services, that are not run for the means of profit. It also means addressing income and wealth inequality and addressing that so workers get more of the wealth they generate. Take a listen 😁
