Domestic violence continues to be a serious social issue in Australia. In the light of the latest statistics showing that One woman is killed every nine days in Australia by a person known to them and one man is killed every 29 days, a new advertising campaign is calling upon community members to speak up if they see or hear domestic violence. The campaign launched by the NSW Government, Crime Stoppers and the NSW Police as a new joint TV advertising campaign began on commercial networks last Monday.

تلتقي الحاجة فاتن الدنا بالمدير التنفيذي لمكتب مكافحة الجريمة في ولاية نيو ساوث ويلز بيتر برايس وتكلمت معه عن الحملة الإعلانية الجديدة التي اطلقتها خكومة ولاية نيو ساوث ويلز بالتعاون مع مكتب مكافخة الجريمة وشرطة الولاية. والتي تهدف الى تخفيض نسبة حوادث لعنف الأسري عقب الكشف عن مقتل خمس نساء ورجل في الأسابيع الثمانية الأخيرة والتي كان اخرها مقتل فتاة في الثامنة عشر من العمر .
