The Multicultural Mawlid Concert has been hosted in Sydney for many years and is promoted in various ways. The slogans which are released every year prior to the Mawlid have been a key tool in promoting the event not only across Australia, but around the world. Sandy and Nadia reflect on the slogans that have been used over the years and feature an interview about the impact of slogans with linguistic professor Dr Ingrid Piller from Macquarie University.

Following on from the interview with Sheikh Bilal Homaysi, Nadia and Sandy reflect on what they have learned about the history of the Mawlid in Sydney. Hear more about the event that has been hosted for over thirty years and how it has grown.
