In October 2024, a sign at the bakery advocating for an end to the war in Gaza sparked tensions, leading to a clash between about 25 pro-Israel demonstrators and around 250 pro-Palestine counter-demonstrators outside the bakery

Unfortunately, the bakery has received threats over its stance, with the owner facing threats to her business and The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has called for law enforcement to investigate the threats and is offering support to the bakery The incident has even gained international attention, with Turkish media outlets reporting on the story
