30 min - MWA 013 - Katie Goodman - Managing Glitterbox, Running A Club In Essex At 20, DJ'ing In Switzerland
Katie Goodman is a middle-aged selector with extraordinary energy. From the newest house party-starters to disco rarities, she plays boldly with an impressive knowledge of music and a unmatched gift for song selection.Having proved herself behind the decks at festivals such as We Are FSTVL in London, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Defected Croatia and sold-out stages at Hï Ibiza and Ministry Of Sound, Katie now sits alongside dance music royalty as a regular for one of the hottest parties in the world – Glitterbox. A long-time follower of the brand and club phenomenon, Katie’s signing to international talent agency Colluded saw her journey progress from fan to resident, with features on line-ups across the globe. Closely aligning to Glitterbox’s signature soundtrack of vocal anthems, nu-disco and soulful house, Katie’s style is intuitive and versatile due to years spent honing her skills at clubs in London and her hometown of Essex. With a degree in DJing and Production, her approach as a selector is as impressive as her studio expertise – a skill she continues to perfect while in the company of fellow Defected & Glitterbox DJs and musicians. From supporting the likes of Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, Jayda G, Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco, Dan Shake & many more, Katie’s upward trajectory shows no sign of slowing down with a jampacked summer ’22 and an unwavering reputation as an up and coming good-time selector.
