On this episode of the podcast, I’m talking with my guest Erwin Loewen, a fashion and product photographer who is based in Aylmer, Ontario. Not only is Erwin a fantastic photographer who takes incredible shots for his clients, he is a combine mechanic, a horse owner and rider, a farmer, and a self confessed grease monkey! I’m so appreciative of Erwin coming on the show.
On this podcast, Erwin and I chat about things like the working with horses and the natural environment, making lifestyle choices as a professional photographer, and the importance of being true to yourself when embarking on a career as a photographer. There are some fantastic insights, tips and advice on this podcast for the aspiring fashion photographer.
If you’d like to see more of Erwin’s work or get in touch with him about working together, please check out his IG at @erwinloewen

On the podcast Frederic and I chat about things like the complexities of shooting groups, the details that go into a great photo, and the importance of being meticulous with your process. Savannah was a joy to speak with and we had lots of fun talking about her inspirations growing up, living the in the beauty of the Cotswolds, the importance of family, and some of the really cool directions she sees fashion, and her career, moving towards in the future. Plus…Savannah’s just a lot of fun, you gotta listen!

On the podcast, Christian and I discuss his approach to finding and working with models, the roots of his appreciation of light and shadow, and the appreciation of the human form in photographs.
In our wide ranging conversation, we talked about topics including taking a leap as an entrepreneur, finding inspiration as an artist, speaking as a person with a disability, and what that means for the community he represents and him as a creator. It’s an inspiring conversation, and one that I was very glad that David could find the time to schedule with me.
On this episode, Zach and I get into some meaty conversations about how to stay centred as a creative person when you are being pulled in different directions, finding balance and meaning in work that we are paid for, and how people can access the inner songwriter in all of us!
On this episode, Jez and I talk about his early days growing up in the UK and some of his inspirations, his dedication to the art of photography and his approach to creating, and some of the things that are motivating and pushing him today.
Blake Jorgenson is one of the world’s leading photographers for action sports and commercial photography. It’s no surprise that when he moved to Whistler, British Columbia, and it’s amazing access to outdoor activities and incredible natural beauty, he said “this is the place for me!”
Blake captures images for an extensive list of clients including Acura, Adidas, Columbia Sports, Eddie Bauer, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Oakley, Patagonia, RAM Trucks, Red Bull, Specialized, The North Face, and Under Armour. Not a bad list at all!
On this episode, Blake and I talk about some issues that all creative people ponder on a regular basis including, turning personal interests into a business, shifting styles to meet business needs while staying true to your art, and drawing inspiration from unique sources. We also talk about why Sour Blasters are one of the best candies in the world, but you’ll have to listen to the podcast if you want to hear that story!
To check out Blake’s work, please go to his website (www.blakejorgenson.com) or check out his instagram feed (@blakejorgenson). Thanks again Blake for coming on the show!

Whatever the case, these images will be our jumping off point to learn more about my guests, maybe learn a thing or two about photography, and hear some great stories along the way!
