Enrique Berrios is a dentist in El Zonte, El Salvador. Since he started his dentist internship in El Zonte, El Salvador, he didn't want to come back and decided to settle there. Enrique Berrios has been waiving fees at his practice and traveling to isolated, rural patients ever since he arrived in this town 17 years ago. One day, one of his elderly patients came and want to get dental treatment and paid him in Bitcoin. This changed everything. Thanks to Bitcoin, he is currently raising funds to provide free checkups, dentures and critical care through an initiative called Bitcoin Smile. The goal is to raise at least one bitcoin to go directly to patients' dental treatments and cover all costs related to critical dental care. Bitcoin fixes everything, including teeth!
