Rob Hill is one of Andy's oldest friends (not in age, but the amount of time they have known each other.)
Rob agreed to come on the podcast to help Jon and Andy practice their craft, or discover where it was lacking.
The interview process was done via Zoom, and after a number of hours editing, chopping out the tangents, here it is... The first 'proper' episode of My Dad's Car.
Jon and Rob have met once before, ten years ago at Andy's stag do, although neither can recall it with any great clarity.

Andy Gregory and Jon Recknell host My Dad's Car, a new podcast discussing automotive nostalgia and the vehicles owned by significant people within your life.
In this episode they set the scene for what is to come, touch on why they started the podcast and put a few goals in place for dream guests too.

Andy and Jon are ex-work colleagues and have been friends for 20 years. Professionally both have worked in marketing within the automotive industry, and outside of work both married with 2 young children. Living in the South East of England, albeit 50 miles apart, these episodes will mostly be recorded remotely, and typically feature a guest on each one.

Whilst this isn't a podcast about 'dead Dads' both Andy and Jon have sadly lost their Fathers and will naturally discuss matters surrounding bereavement at times.

Due to the nostalgic nature of the podcast, subjects such as smoking around children and travelling without seat belts are also likely to crop up.
