Dad joins the Grizzly Peaks Patrons to play Matt Sanderson's brilliant scenario from Fear's Sharp Little Needles.
Having finally reached Isthmus Town, our intrepid adventurers Limu, Draconis and Glomaran seek refuge at The Stuffed Inn, hoping for a little rest, some decent food and perhaps a few hours without something trying to kill them.
Unfortunately, even a seemingly peaceful wayfarer's town has its problems. Beneath the welcoming façade of the inn and the everyday bustle of the settlement, rumours of trouble are beginning to surface. A number of people have disappeared, and although the incidents appear to be entirely unrelated, something about them doesn't quite add up.
Naturally, our heroes find themselves drawn into the mystery. But are these disappearances merely unfortunate coincidences, or is something far more sinister lurking beneath the surface of Isthmus Town?
After all, there's nothing quite like a relaxing night at an inn to remind an adventurer that nowhere is truly safe.
Welcome to The Stuffed Inn. Check in, settle down, and try not to disappear.

Our latest Wednesday adventure begins with a simple journey across the Twin Lakes region. The Weston-Super-Mare RPGers play Limu, Draconis and Glomaran as they make their way towards Isthmus Town — a wayfarer's stopping point for travellers, adventurers and other assorted idiots passing through on their way to the mysterious Stone Forest.
Of course, no journey undertaken by adventurers is ever quite as simple as it sounds.
This time around, we're bringing you an adaptation of a Cairn 2nd Edition adventure, converted for the familiar embrace of D&D 5th Edition. Because apparently, despite all evidence to the contrary, getting players to learn a new game system is harder than crossing an ancient wilderness filled with bandits & monsters.
So, armed with D&D character sheets, questionable judgement and absolutely no guarantee that the journey will end well, our three adventurers set out across the Twin Lakes.
What could possibly go wrong?
Probably quite a lot.

The tower has fallen. Their memories have returned. And now, standing before Ray Locke, Calista, Gloomaran, and Rykard Hemamori is something that most sensible adventurers would consider an excellent reason to turn around and go home.
Unfortunately, there is nowhere left to go.
An Undead Dragon rises from the chaos, its ancient corpse animated by powers that should have remained buried. With nowhere to run and precious little chance of surviving, our battered heroes are forced into mortal combat with a creature that has absolutely no intention of showing mercy.
Steel, magic, divine power and whatever the hell Rykard happens to have up his sleeve are brought to bear as the party fight for their lives.
But can four exhausted adventurers really bring down an undead dragon? Or are Ray, Calista, Gloomaran and Rykard about to become so much chum?
There's only one way to find out…Roll for initiative.
In Under a Fell Black Sky – Episode 05, Ray Locke, Calista, Gloomaran, and Rykard Hemamori barely escape with their lives as the ancient tower collapses around them. And then the memories return. Fragments of forgotten lives begin to surface as the adventurers finally remember who they are, why they are here, and perhaps what brought them to this blood-soaked battlefield in the first place. But reflection is a luxury they can ill afford. Because waiting beyond the ruins is something ancient, enormous, and very much dead - An Undead Dragon! Whatever answers the party has recovered may have to wait. First, they'll have to survive one of the most terrifying creatures ever to take to the skies.
The tower has fallen. Their memories have returned.
Now the real battle begins.

For the month of September, we’re taking a small break from our usual Sunday uploads. Fear not, the podcast hasn’t been consumed by an eldritch entity, the dice haven’t finally driven us to madness, and Dad hasn’t accidentally deleted the entire back catalogue… yet.
Wednesday episodes will continue as normal, so there’s still plenty of questionable decision-making, terrible dice rolls and assorted supernatural nonsense coming your way.
Our regular Wednesday and Sunday schedule will return on 6th October, when we’ll be back with new adventures and, presumably, absolutely no lessons learned from anything that happened before the break.
Thanks, as always, for listening, supporting the show, and sticking with us. We’ll see you on Wednesday—and full service resumes October 6th.
Until then, keep your lights on, your eyes open, and whatever you do… don’t split the party.

In Under a Fell Black Sky – Episode 04, Ray Locke, Calista, Gloomaran, and Rykard Hemamori finally reach the dizzying heights of the old tower. After battling rogue Elves on the way up, the party might be forgiven for thinking the worst is behind them.
They would, of course, be completely wrong.
With the battlefield raging far below and the fell black sky looming overhead, the adventurers discover that reaching the top of the tower was merely the beginning. Their mission awaits, along with new dangers, difficult choices, and the distinct possibility that coming back down will be considerably harder than getting up.
The heroes have made it to the top.
Now they just have to survive what they find there.
In LIVE 2026: On Hostile Shores – Episode Five, our shipwrecked investigators have reached the end of their desperate struggle against an island that should not exist—and now their fates rest in the least reliable hands imaginable.
With Robert, Guillaume, and Margot scattered across the island, survival will be decided by the roll of the dice, the enthusiastic intervention of our live audience, and the capricious whims of a Keeper who has never knowingly allowed good judgement to get in the way of an entertaining conclusion.
Plans unravel, terrible choices are made, and the mysteries of On Hostile Shores finally come crashing together as the long-lost adventure reaches its live finale.
Who will escape? Who will succumb to the horrors of the island? And who will discover that sometimes the most dangerous thing in Call of Cthulhu isn't the Mythos at all—it's giving the audience a say in what happens next?

In Under a Fell Black Sky – Episode 03, our Keeper-turned-Dungeon Daddy watches from behind the screen as Ray Locke, Calista, Gloomaran, and Rykard Hemamori discover that the rogue Elves blocking their ascent through the old tower aren't going to be talked aside quite so easily.
With negotiations rapidly giving way to violence, the party finds itself doing battle with a surprisingly nimble—and worryingly enthusiastic—band of dancing Elves. Blades flash, spells fly, boots tap, and what should have been a straightforward fight becomes something considerably more theatrical.
Outside, armies clash beneath a blackened sky. Inside, our heroes are locked in mortal combat with murderous Elves who apparently believe choreography is an essential part of warfare.
The tower awaits above... assuming anyone survives the dance.

In LIVE 2026: On Hostile Shores – Episode Four, our shipwrecked investigators demonstrate one of the oldest and most reliable ways of ensuring that absolutely nothing goes according to plan: they split the party. Three ways.
Robert presses onward alone into the mysterious tunnel, venturing deeper beneath the island in search of answers—and hopefully an exit. Guillaume, meanwhile, makes his way back towards the beach, retracing their steps and confronting whatever might still be waiting along the shoreline. And Margot has decided she's had quite enough of mysterious islands altogether, putting her faith in a hastily constructed bamboo raft and the considerably less-than-hospitable South Pacific.
Three investigators. Three separate paths. And an island that has already demonstrated that neither geography nor reality can entirely be trusted.
Will Robert discover what lies beneath the island? Will Guillaume find something waiting for him on the beach? And can Margot really escape this nightmare with some bamboo and blind optimism?
It's Call of Cthulhu. They've split the party. What could possibly go wrong?
