Apple PodcastsAndroidRSSKyle uses a unique formula to calculate how you can get control of your dog’s intake and thereby start on the path to a healthy weight. Taking the guesswork out of. how much to feed, use this equation. Start with your dog’s ideal weight, divide that by 2.2, then times that amount by 30 and add back 70. The answer to that equation will be how many K-Cal’s your dog should be consuming each day. When you are figuring this out – don’t forget to include the miscellaneous treats or G’dog handouts that make their way into your dogs mouth. Kyle says that 20% of KCals is a good rule of thumb to attribute to treats and kibble toppers.
Along the way in our chat with Kyle, he shares some fun games that are part of his evening routine to stimulate his pup’s brains and ergo their metabolism. These ideas are so simple and require no special equipment – anyone can do them. Check out our video chat here or listen to the audio podcast.
