When I live expectantly, looking for the Kingdom of God it changes my character. Today, I want to not only be looking for Him to come to set up the eternal Kingdom (come, Lord Jesus) but I also want to be expectantly looking for the Kingdom happening around me.

Am I on the lookout for activities of the Kingdom of God that are occurring around me? Sometimes I can be so busy looking for what I perceive to be the big kingdom stuff that I miss Kingdom activities. Guest Evangelist Michael Livengood brings focus to the Kingdom around us.

It has been said, “There is so much in prayer that every one of us could learn if we would keep an open heart to the Word and the Spirit of God.” The New Testament writers have given us a rich instruction on the power of prayer and its importance in the lives of believers in every age.

Prayer is not simply a thought, but the verbalization of a thought. Perhaps the most effectual, fervent, powerful prayer you can pray is the one the Holy Spirit prays through you as shared in Romans 8 and I Corinthians 12 & 14.

In the days ahead, it’s important that we not neglect the various types of prayer available to us including strong united prayer.

After exercising our faith, trust in God, and thanksgiving, the results will be a prayer life full of power and authority along with our joy being full because of answered prayers (John 16:24)

God promises us that the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Let’s kick it up a notch in 2021 and make prayer our number one priority.
