As well as strategy, business model and organisation design work, he began staging entrepreneurial and startup events in 2010. Through international partnerships, Grant identified Launch48 in 2010, a weekend business launch format, and the Startup Leadership Program, SLP, in 2012. As well as founding 2 businesses, Grant is an active mentor and investor, supporting programs that have included Melbourne Uni, MAP, La Trobe Uni, LTAP, CSIRO ON and Startmate/ Moonshot. He helped build the La Trobe Accelerator Program and has staged events such as the Melbourne Startup Walkabout and the Entrepreneurial Women in Leadership panel.
