An entrepreneur and marketer, Michelle is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Peers Project, Australia’s only BIPOC, female-led podcast agency.
Michelle launched The Peers Project in 2018 and in its first 5 years, bootstrapped and scaled the company to a multiple six-figure revenue bringing on Fortune 500s and venture-backed startups as clients including Alibaba Group, Indeed.com, Shopify and Modibodi, all the while running the company with zero employees and instead, a team of permanent contractors.
Following her admission into the prestigious Class of 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list, Michelle is set to head to the U.S. to take The Peers Project global and service clients internationally.
Since its inception, The Peers Project and its podcasts have garnered extensive recognition with features in Forbes, Marie Claire, Ad News, B&T, Mumbrella, SmartCompany and Radio Info among others. In 2021, The Peers Project became Australian Podcast Awards Finalists and Pause Awards Winner. In 2022, Michelle was recognised as a 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards Finalist and in 2023, became B&T’s 30 Under 30 Entrepreneur of the Year.
Prior to founding The Peers Project, Michelle started a global podcast, PEERS, where she continues to host conversations with some of the world’s most inspiring young BIPOC entrepreneurs. From an archive of 250+ episodes, past guests include Forbes 30 Under 30 Listers and TEDx speakers. In 2021, Shopify signed on as the podcast’s major sponsor.
