This weekend marks the 44th anniversary of Brother and Sister Singh's ministry in Canada.

It is beyond the capacity of this writer to do justice to Brother Singh's gospel. To learn how God led him from his initial conversion at age 12 to where he is today, followers must listen to this message. Every man God calls to His ministry has a personal gospel to share. Whether it was Abram called out of Ur of the Chaldeans, Moses called out of the court of Pharoah, Paul called out of Phariseeism, or Brother Singh called out of Guyana—each journey is unique and just as compelling.

"God is in control of every situation. Nothing comes against us that He does not see."

The lyrics of an uplifting hymn read, "Count your blessings, name them one by one, and you will discover what the Lord has done." The trials and tribulations of life can be very discouraging until we realize that adverse circumstances test the genuineness of our faith (which is more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire). Faith that endures results in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:7).

The church's primary purpose is to facilitate change in the life of a believer. Countless organizations profess to represent the Lord Jesus, calling themselves churches. Yet, ultimately, only one church will be recognized by God, that is, one teaching the will of our heavenly Father.

Jesus said, "Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Following the disruption of the pandemic, Gospel Assembly Mississauga finds it necessary to reorganize ourselves to a considerable extent. A fundamental improvement would be returning to our level of operation before March 2020. This brief article gives us a contemporary overview of how God expects his elect to conduct their lives inside and outside the church.

Every church needs a staff, but faithful attendance is critical to adequate staffing. We cannot serve God at our convenience and call ourselves dedicated.

Praise and worship, testimonies, and exhortations from Brother Vid and Brother John highlight our first Saturday night service of 2024. Though we live in troubled times, our hearts are encouraged, buoying our resolve to endure. "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)

Imagine that you are suffering from angina, but your cardiologist does not want to offend you, so he tells you that your symptoms are caused by indigestion. Instead of getting stent surgery and medication, you are prescribed antiacid tablets.

Christians face a similar dilemma each time they hear a watered-down, politically correct gospel. People tend to view sin as unavoidable and hypocrisy as situational ethics.

Brother gratefully acknowledges his indebtedness to our Lord for leading him to the proper assembly, under the right ministry, to hear the correct interpretation of the word of God. Stressing light to illuminate us in a dark and sinister world, Brother Moses understands that only God can raise anointed ministers to deliver the present truth. All else is deception.

As we close out the final hours in 2023 and usher in 2024, "light and darkness" weigh on Brother Singh's mind. God has led this ministry through problematic trials over the past three years. But "we know that ALL things {good or bad} work together for good to them that love God, to them who are 'the called' according to His purpose. Moreover, we know that the trying of our faith worketh patience. And if we let patience or perseverance complete its perfect work, we mature to perfection, wanting nothing.

As 2023 draws to a close, Brother Sam expresses his gratitude to God for guiding and directing his life from conception to this day. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4;8)

What differentiates God's called ministry from manufactured preachers—those processed—through certification mills? Paul explained. "For they {uncalled preachers & their enthusiastic followers} being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their "own righteousness" have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." (Romans 10:3-4).
