My Horror Confessional

Listen, I tried. I tried doing a normal interview with Max, I really did...... We did talk about the movie.....Max cuts himself...oh yeah 3rd week in a row TRIGGER WARNING FOR BLOOD AND SELF HARM. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. This was at train wreck of an interview but I made it thru unharmed. In all honesty, I had a blast talking with my friend about a wide range of topics, some of it even about Peeping Tom! Join us in the Confessional and as always thank you for your SUPPORT!

Max and Lori just opened a Horror Book store just outside of San Antonio, Tx. Follow him here to support everything they do.

This week I'm joined by Neighbor Tim to discuss the very (un)classic Castle Freak. For the second week in a row we have a TRIGGER WARNING for Extreme Violence against women. With a cast that reunites Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton and Staurt Gordon how could this movie go so wrong? Join us in the Confessional to find out.

3 weeks ago Zach was on the show to discuss Audition and I recommended Ichi the Killer. We (sorta) watched it together and wanted to get together for an informal chat about it. Trigger warning for some talk about INTENSE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. Ichi left us both with a sour taste in our mouth and you can defintely tell. Join us in the Confessional!

This week I am joined in the Confessional by Leticia Urieta where we discuss the Vincent Price/ Roger Corman classic The Masque of the Red Death (1964). Adapted from an Edgar Allan Poe short story with elements drawn from one of his other short stories, Hop-Frog. This movie marked Corman's 7th adapted Poe movie, and his 6th starring Price. There would eventually be 8 total Corman-Poe films made. Leticia and I also discussed her new short story collection Las Criaturas out now from Flowersong Press and all the great work she's doing in the community with Austin Bat Cave and with Barrio Writers

Hello everybody, its been 6 months since my last confession and boy have I sinned, I've been an absentee landlord!! I wanted to first apologize to everyone for my extended absence, I do go a bit into detail at the top of the show but still wanted to let you all know that I appreciate you still being here. This is the official relaunch of the show, and I am really excited about the guests that I have coming up. But of course, I couldn't really relaunch the show without our favorite recurring guest, the Devil himself Mr. Anthony Jerome M!!!! We of course talk about the movie, but we also discuss the new(ish) format to the show and what I've been up to. For the first time in a while I get to ask you to please join us in the Confessional and as always THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!

This week I'm joined by Mike from the great podcast The People under the Scares to talk about this underrated 90's classic with its heart deeply rooted in the 80's. Whats better than a horror movie set at an all-night horror movie marathon. Only if that movie is also a slasher with a very original killer! Join us in the Confessional!
