♥️ First, my 60-Day Love, Pleasure, and Play challenge. I'm creating a blog for 60 days, writing posts about bringing more love, pleasure, and play into my life. I hope what I share will inspire you if you choose to bring more love, pleasure, and play into your life. We will explore what it means to bring more love into your life and expand your capacity to love. We will also look at what it means to bring more pleasure into your life, both in the context of sex and outside the context of sex. Same with play! How can we be more playful in our lives?

This is a clip from a Menopause Symposium I hosted in the fall. Justin Dawson was one of six speakers.

Justine is hosting a six-week women's coaching circle that begins on January 29, 20204. It is about intimacy, embodiment, and insight. It is for women who want to bring more aliveness and insight in midlife. If you have questions about intimacy, the erotic, and embodying spiritual wisdom, this group is for you.

August is my birthday month and one of my favorites for that reason! I wanted to make sure I recorded my first episode back in August. Also, on August 15, I completed a year-long life coaching certification program. I always take August to reset and reflect, and in this episode, I wanted to share some of my reflections from this year and a few things I am looking forward to this year.
Three takeaways:
I am very excited to continue this momentum into my new year and continue to practice and embody each of these takeaways and learnings. I am also going to dive further into the sexuality and intimacy space and join a Sex, Love & Relationship certification program…with a specialty in perimenopause/menopause.

❤️ Passive action versus taking massive action: Massive action is what moves the meter. Massive action also inevitably brings failure. We have to fail and fail and learn from our failures to learn and grow.
❤️Getting good at failing: Getting good at failing is an essential skill that we have to all get good at to live our dreams, feel alive, and bring more pleasure into our lives.
❤️Setting impossible goals: Setting impossible goals to expand our brains and skill sets & step into massive action.
I talk about my own impossible goal!!! Stay tuned for progress on my June 2024 goal and becoming the person I need to be to reach this goal. Reach out and say hi and share with me your impossible goal!! https://linktr.ee/lisette.ostrander

Today I want to talk to you about sexual mindset and two concepts I have been exploring this week, sexual growth mindset and sexual destiny mindset, and how having these mindsets impact our sex life and sexual satisfaction. In this episode, I also share a tool to be more intentional with your thoughts and beliefs to retrain your brain to have more empowering mindsets.
❤️ Sexual growth mindset is the attitude that people can learn to be better lovers over time. Also, people who hold sexual growth mindsets believe that sexual satisfaction fluctuates and that sexual satisfaction can be maintained or improved with effort.

In this episode, I mention a set of scales developed by psychologist Jessica Maxwell that measure “ sexual destiny mindset” and “ sexual growth mindset. See below for some examples of the questions, and take a moment to think about how much you agree or disagree with the statements below.
💜Experiencing sexual problems is a sure sign that a couple is not sexually compatible.
💜 Sexual satisfaction often fluctuates over the course of a relationship.
💜Sexual desire is likely to ebb and flow (i.e., change) over the the course of a relationship.
💜 A passionate sex life is a sign that two partners are meant to be.
💜 Communicating about sexual issues can bring partners closer together.
💜 Troubles in a sexual relationship signify a poor match between partners.
💜 If sexual satisfaction declines over the course of a relationship, it suggests that a couple is not a good match.
💜 If sexual partners are meant to be together, sex will be easy and wonderful.
💜 Acknowledging each other’s differing sexual interests is important for a couple to enhance their sex life.
💜 Even satisfied couples will experience sexual challenges at times

This podcast is my year-long project and tool that I am using to explore and deepen my connection with pleasure and bring more aliveness into my life. My hope is that it will also expand…
This podcast is for anyone interested in these topics, and I am especially creating this for people who will experience or are already experiencing the menopause journey. In our society, from the time we are young, we receive and continually get reaffirmed incorrect, negative, and limiting information about sex and our bodies, what things should look like, and what is acceptable, normal, and beautiful for women and men.
I want to use this podcast to challenge the ideas that we have been taught about menopause, sex, desire, pleasure, mindset, and our emotions and to use that to decide how to create and define our own kind of pleasure.
