This episode we talk with Tony Leah. He is a long time Union member working for GM of Canada. Specifically, at the Oshawa Ontario assembly complex. He has a new book out, released this year, 2024. Titled: The Truth About The '37 Oshawa GM Strike They Made Cars, They Made Plans: Reds, The Rank and File, and International Solidarity Unionized GM.
This book is a great teaching tool for those looking to learn more about Union history in North America. Author Tony Leah outlines events from over 100 years ago. There are many parallels to todays fight for Unions in the workplace.
