This week I have a frank and raw conversation with my friend Angie about the effects of addiction. Angie's dad was addicted to cocaine for over 20 years. She is so forth rite and inspiring. She talks about the years she didn't see her dad.  And then how one day he ended up on her doorstep ready to get clean. Angie has been through so much but all along she has kept her humor. I was cracking up a lot during this interview. It's a must listen, especially for those who have a family member or friend that is battling addiction. 

This week we are talking autoimmune disease with Christen Perrella from Metamorphosis-mindbody pilates and wellness studio. She has done a complete metamorphosis on her health and wellness. She is such a wealth of information and one of the sweetest people I know. Please hang with us, we kind of jump all over the place but she has so much knowledge on healing the whole mind, body and spirit. This week I invited my friends Mani Young and Heather Tansy to join me at Generation X takes on COVID-19. I was inspired by the answers they gave. As we indulged in happy hour, we created an all women task force to wipe out Coronavirus and you will never guess who is on it. We also talked about what was keeping us sane in these very crazy times. Please listen to the end as the alcohol goes a little to our head. 

This week I sit down and talk Coronavirus with the millennial generation. My son CJ and his girlfriend, Katie, share their thoughts on social distancing, new normals and shelter in place. We end with the good things that are still going on in these crazy times.

Listen to this episode with your teenage daughter. It's such an important topic. This week I have a conversation with Suzanne Carpenter from Carpenter0ne80 about disordered eating and self image. So many of us struggle with negative self talk, especially about our weight. Suz has recovered from her eating disorder and now helps others. She is lively and funny and so engaging. She teaches me about the science of healthy eating and how easy it can be. Please remember we are not doctor or therapists. Just two women having sharing ideas and stories. 

This week Jennifer and I continue our talk about everything under the sun. She shares stories about her marriage and the depression her husband suffered and how he recovered. We talk about her kind and giving heart. How she consistently tries to make this world a better place. She went from doing a lot of random volunteering to more specific child based helping. She is now on the board of Loaves and Fishes Food Bank in Charlottesville, VA. She, like me is a foodie, and I talk about her becoming a plant based whole food vegan. And how that came about. She then shares a very vulnerable side of herself as she shares the story of her dad and his fight with Alzheimer's. What a brave conversation. We end with me blubbering about the value of our friendship. A spectacular episode.
