Many people today think they are following Jesus but in reality they are following after Jesus that they created in their own heart that does their own bidding rather than His will. They are able to be deceived because they will not let go of their fleshly heart desires and pick up the cross and follow Jesus down the dirty dusty road of simplistic Christianity. Your God goes before you. What have you to fear? Wherever we go our God goes before us. Resist the temptation to look at your natural abilities and resources and trust God that He is going to provide despite everything else that we see in this world. For everything that you are lacking, for everything that is beyond your means, trust God with the vision that He has placed in your heart. He knows how to provide for His people in an environment where His judgment has fallen. Even in the midst of all of the turmoil, there is a hiding place for us in the robes and the folds of his garments.

Your story is being written every day as you journey through this life. If one of your grandchildren were to read your story, how would it sound? Would it sound like a walk of faith? The fight that we fight today is not about the present or acquiring goods, receiving healings, and various other blessings. Those things are as a result of our obedience and walking in faith. The true fight is for the testimony... The testimony that will echo through your generations that God is able in any and all circumstances. Impossible circumstances and giants in the land make great legacy stories that our future generations can grab hold of to walk out their stories! Let your response be a response of faith that pleases the Lord!

Who wants some plain vanilla with no chocolate drizzle or colorful sprinkles? This kind of Christianity leaves nothing “comely to be desired” by the flesh. The enemy wants to seduce us by our own ego and desires to sanctify ourselves, our greed and lusts, and our desire to exalt ourselves above one another. Obedience and love of the Lord and one another will keep our hearts aligned with the true will of God and deliver us from every seducing doctrine of devils.
