I wanted to take this episode to tell you my vision, & my mission of what I do in the world. In this episode you'll learn how this is so much bigger than what I do & who I am, but I continue to do this work daily to help women rise and own it! This is for women all over the world and this is what I want to leave behind.
I want you to love the body you live in. I know and I see that in wellness, we are always looking for weight loss. We are always looking for the next thing, we're always looking for the diets, we're looking for the yo-yo diets, and I'm done. I am tired of seeing this happening. I'm tired of women not feeling whole, not feeling like they belong, not feeling confident, not feeling in love with themselves. And it's only when they reach the results that they might feel okay. But a lot of times this weight, and all the time, I believe that this weight is just not weight that we hold in our body. But it's like weight that we hold in our soul.
Fitness is just not for weight loss. Nutrition and focusing on the relationship you have with your food is just not for weight loss. Fitness equals a body mind and soul transformation. Nutrition equals a nourishing, loving relationship with your self, your body, the food that you are putting in your plate. Like this is so much more than just weight. This is so much more than me just being a personal trainer. This is so much more than me being a functional nutrition therapy practitioner. This is so much more than myself.
What if we treated ourselves like someone we loved? When if we treated our body, like we treat our kids? How we loved them, when we have them and they put them in our arms and you just cry tears and you feel like the joy you've never felt before? What if we did that to our body? What if we loved ourselves right now? So then we can start to do the actions and take the aligned actions like fitness, like working on nutrition, like working on our mind, our body, our soul? And then seeing the change? Wouldn't that just be amazing? It's so possible. So my big mission, and what I really desire for us, because this is also work that I do every single day for me is that we just love the body we live in love our soul. And we work on it every day. No matter what.
