Sometimes you can so caught up in being "right" that you lose what is really important. In fact in a relationship being right isn't always that great. Being willing to be wrong, accept your mistakes and make an honest effort to move forward is the only way to win.

My brother came to me with a problem. Long story short, he needed to have a frank conversation. Positioning is an important part to that conversation. Positioning is how you set yourself up, to be heard. You don't always have to be positioned at the head of the table, biggest desk, or loudest speaker. The best managers know how to position themselves to deliver the message.

One thing that a lot of business professionals neglect is following up with clients. It is something that can develop a stronger relationship with customers, but gets forgotten. Sometimes you need to focus on that follow up, especially when you don't have the financing to spend on new marketing. Start with past clients first!

Sometimes you need to practice following through. You can procrastinate and find yourself at the end of your road never to accomplishing anything. I sure don't want to be there, so I have to constantly remind myself to follow through on what is important to me.

Recently did my first presentation since college for my business. Still not that great at it, but I knew it was something that my business needed, so I stepped out of my comfort zone and made it happen. When you have a passion for something, you are willing to go that extra bit to make it happen. So ultimately it was a great experience.

Happy memorial day! I hope you had time to enjoy it with the ones you love and remember those who could not because they had given the ultimate sacrifice to make that happen. We spent the weekend packing food for the emergency food network. It felt really good to join in and provide for the community. Relationships are tough and lets face it they affect every aspect of our lives. Sometimes we have troubles and don't know what our next step should be.
