Welcome to Osprey Observer TV! In this episode, we have an engaging conversation with Scott Clark, one of the owners of Marlin James Air Conditioning, a cornerstone business in our community for over 30 years. This family-owned and operated enterprise has a rich history of providing top-notch air conditioning services and fostering the next generation of HVAC professionals. Scott shares his journey into the air conditioning business, influenced by his father who ran his own HVAC company. From a young age, Scott developed a passion for the hands-on work involved in installing and servicing air conditioning systems. This passion has been a driving force in maintaining the high standards and community trust that Marlin James Air Conditioning is known for. The episode highlights the comprehensive range of services offered by Marlin James Air Conditioning, including residential and commercial repairs, maintenance plans, and system replacements. Scott emphasizes the importance of professional presentation and community presence, with well-branded uniforms and trucks that reflect the company’s commitment to quality and professionalism. A significant part of the discussion focuses on the company's dedication to training and educating the next generation of HVAC technicians. Through their membership with RACCA (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association), Marlin James Air Conditioning offers a four-year training program that combines hands-on experience with classroom learning. This initiative not only supports the professional growth of young technicians but also ensures the future success of the company.
Scott and his team understand the changing landscape of vocational skills and the importance of introducing young people to hands-on trades. They provide opportunities for young technicians to gain practical experience and pursue certifications, preparing them for successful careers in the HVAC industry.
Key to the company’s success has been their focus on building strong relationships with customers and taking ownership of their work. Scott discusses how addressing mistakes openly and working to make things right has helped build a loyal customer base. He also talks about the challenges faced during the pandemic and supply chain issues, and how their team’s dedication helped them navigate these obstacles.
To conclude, Scott shares contact information for those interested in their services, emphasizing the accessibility and readiness of the Marlin James team to assist new and existing customers. This episode is a testament to the values of hard work, community engagement, and the importance of skilled trades in maintaining the quality of life in our community. Tune in for an inspiring conversation that showcases the heart and soul behind a beloved local business.

Vine Vegan - OUR STORY FOOD IS MY LOVE LANGUAGE
My greatest relationships and bonds have been forged with an abundance of food cultivated with love and care. Every gathering with friends and family; always a feast. Breaking bread together, sharing laughs, and stories is how I’ve always made deep and meaningful connections with people. No greater joy exists for me than to have my house full of people (family, friends, strangers; literally anyone) and for them to eat a meal I made and leave feeling the love I poured into preparing it.
In My Family Food = Love I learned to cook from the most important and influential people in my life; my mom, dad, and grandmother. My family’s journey to veganism was quick and mostly seamless, and rewarding in all the ways. As we swapped our chicken for tofu and our ground beef for lentils; I knew that with every meal, I was impacting the livelihood of animals and our planet. I was setting up myself, my husband, and our children for a healthier future. With every non-vegan friend or family member who marveled over my plant-based delicacies, I knew I could make a difference if more people could enjoy them.
I am determined to set a strong example for my kids to have empathy and compassion for the world around us. To hope others will join us, even if just a few plant-based meals a week. As a daughter of a Latino and a Brit, who was born in Hawaii, raised in Europe, and an American through-and through; I was sure to balance everything by connecting my heritage and life experiences when creating the Vine Vegan menu.
With this in my heart and support from my family and friends, I bring you vegan dishes that I hope will blow your mind. This is my mission: to bring people together over food, capture the culture of community, and use ridiculously delicious vegan food to do it. I welcome all who are curious, or defiant, or courageous.
We want you to eat well and feel good about what you eat. And with every spoonful I hope there to be love, compassion, and open-mindedness.
With Love, Danielle Stevens
