Remember when NBC used to do supersized episodes of "The Office" for their season finale? Well, we basically are that cool and needed a longer episode. So, here it is! Our final interview, and our final thoughts about the Resurrection Revolutionaries who didn't make the Sunday morning cut.
CHECK! IT! OUT!
In this, our penultimate Season One episode, it's all Shanna and Ryan as we march alongside the students of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School and Never Again MSD. Together, we talk about our these inspiring students, what scripture has to say about all this, and we even dive into a little "Ubuntu" theological discussion.
This conversation was real, and hard, and there are no easy answers. We're inviting you to listen as a reminder that you're not alone in your frustrations nor in your fears.
THIS. BONUS. EPISODE.
Take the time. Listen to the stories. Cherish the honesty. Hold the lives and commit to being church in a new way because of them.
Here is the full and unedited conversation Shanna and Ryan had with Jonathan Antle, Program Coordinator of The HIMM Project (www.thehimmproject.org), and Grace Cox-Johnson, Artistic Director of Transfinity KC Chorus (www.transfinitykc.org).
Harvey Milk said that the time came in his life where he either needed to do something, or shut up. We talk about his life, his death, and do our best to offer ways to live in his legacy of radical welcome and inciting honesty.
Our guests on this podcast are Jonathan Antle, Program Coordinator of the HIMM Project (www.thehimmproject.org) at KC Cares Clinic and Accompanist at Community, and Grace Cox-Johnson, Artistic Director of Transfinity KC Chorus (www.transfinitykc.org) and contract staff for liturgical arts at Community.

Malala Yousafzai was only fourteen years old when she was targeted by the Taliban as a threat to their mysogynistic ideologies. Living through an assassination attempt on her life, Malala went on to model power, peace, poise and fearlessness in ways that we could do well to learn from.
In this episode, we're joined by Rev. Erin Wathen, Senior Minister of Saint Andrew Christian Church in Olathe, KS, and author of the brand new book, Persist and Resist: Faith and the Fight for Equality. Erin will talk about those people who are inspiring her in the ways of resistance and persistence, from teachers on strike to Malala to men who volunteer to lead Sunday School classes. Shanna and Erin talk a little more about what it's like to be Senior Ministers who are also women, and share some really practical amazing "So what" thoughts for those who want to take the fight for gender equality seriously.
We'll release the full interview with Erin next Monday. What you hear here is but a foretaste of the amazing kick-ass awesomeness that she is, and that we got to share in with her.
Oh yeah, and you won't want to miss our third co-host on this episode! It's a surprise...
