Bacon Buggy. Hamborghini. Truck Norris. Food trucks sling delicious items from smoothies to sliders and everything in between. And now your favorite chicken will be rolling into town! According to the Chickfila website there are 30 of them rolling around America. Today on the podcast we welcome David Grimm, the owner operator of Iowa’s only Chickfila food truck.
David has an incredible story of how he's been able to serve his community through chicken. Within the last five years, he's given away over $750,000 in food donations and support to the community, $150,000 in food to donations to local homeless shelters, and another $100,000 in tuition and education assistance to his team members. On top of that, David says his team has experienced many miracles and 95 of them have given their hearts to the Lord over the last two and a half years.

How many consecutive days could you eat Chickfila? Except Sundays, of course!
Digging back into the news archive, we found reports about a teenage boy in Atlanta who broke a record by eating at Chickfila more than 100 days in a row. That inspired Mark Mendenhall, known as the mayor of his Chickfila, to eat Chickfila 114 days in a row. On day 15, Mark was at Disneyland with his family. He drove back to his Chickfila to keep the streak alive and then rejoined his family at Disney!
Then in 2020, a Pennsylvania man saw that story and thought he could beat it. Matt Stoudt ended up with a 132-day Chickfila streak. Ben Boyles saw that story and got inspired. In this episode you'll meet Ben, the California man who holds this delicious record. And he did it all for charity!

A Chick-fil-A operator is making headlines for his winning recipe of work/life balance: offering full-time employees a three-day work week. Justin Lindsey, 41, is the local operator of Chick-fil-A Kendall in Florida. According to QSR Magazine, Lindsey was hitting incredible benchmarks but at the cost of overworking his staff. Many were logging 70 hours a week and sacrificing vacations. Since switching to this model he’s had 100% retention at the management level.
Susan Carnes is an account manager with Cooper Connect, a company whose sole focus is to recruit the perfect people for positions at Chick-fil-A. Carnes joins us on the podcast to discuss the 3-day work week idea, and explains why it didn't go so well at another Chick-fil-A location.

A California surfer is hoping to combine his two loves—catching waves and eating Chickfila.
In the US, about 1.73 million people go surfing at least once a year. Worldwide around 23 million people surf. But we're guessing none of these surfers are as equally passionate about Chick-fil-A as 33-year-old Phred. He's even been known to surf in a cow mask!
