So here’s the kicker. We’ve been discussing purity, virginity, abstinence, celibacy since the beginning. Mainly because I wanted you to know that I am for you, rooting and cheering you on. However, the truth of the matter is purity is not just sexual. Its emotional as well as spiritually. We will not be successful in our journey of purity is we don’t fight to become our authentic self. It’s a battle to keep our thoughts pure, hearts posture right, and to believe the best even when things aren’t shaping up in the way we hope.

Sis, I know the feeling. I don’t believe anyone feel like the purity walk is a breeze and truth be told, I refuse to do you a disservice by acting like it’s nothing. I want to encourage you that these days are necessary. They are necessary because they remind you that you can't do this journey alone. You need community, you need mentors, and you need God. God can and will sustain you. The beauty is in surrendering your purity to Him daily!

This is a question that we all have battled with at some point of time especially if you’re a Virgin. Mainly because the reactions of people can be quite alarming. I’ve come to notice those that even those who are celibate or practicing abstinence all wonder if we should even entertain conversations regarding sex. Its easy to say don’t entertain conversations regarding sex at all. Truth of the matter is sex is natural and our minds will wonder... Let's get real!

They may not say it. But I can assure you they have thought it. LOL Those friends, coworkers, family members, that know your status after you share it with them in confidence, that you’re a virgin, celibate, practicing abstinence etc. They act like they are proud of you and support you then in conversations later down the line, small seeds of jealousy manifests. Yep, I’ve been there. Let's talk about it!
